Montreal's Jacques Cartier Bridge 1930 and now

Connecting Ile Ste Helene and Montreal with Longueil on the south shore, pont Jacques-Cartier opened in 1930 as the Harbour Bridge. In 1934, it was renamed to commemorate the four hundredth anniversary of Cartier's first journey up the St. Lawrence.
