Life on the Wet Coast

Its winter on the wet coast. No snow, no sun.

At this time of year, the ceiling is low, the days short and the rain nearly unrelenting.

But our coastal climate has its compensations.

This picture of daffodil shoots springing from the ground was taken on the sixth of January.

I'd say they'll bloom some time next month.
